Pittsburgh!

Pompilios...

Pompilios is a very old Italian restaurant in Newport Kentucky that Chuck and I took Laura to... Italian food is her fav but we had already eaten Dewey's Pizza on the Levee (hey pizza is Italian!) so we just came to 'look' and of course photograph.












If it looks at all familar ... it might be because Pompilios was a setting used in the movie RAINMAN... it's where Dustin Hoffmans - as Raymond counted - on the spot, all of the toothpicks that a waitress dropped!

Laura is a huge movie buff but to our surprise she had not ever watched that flick! Needless to say later that evening we put it in and I think she enjoyed it... we did and we've seen it a few times! ☺

... red shoes

My adorable niece came for a visit... and like most of us girls, she has a favorite pair of shoes. No matter the outfit she is loyal to her red shoes!




She was only here a few days but she wore them everywhere.




She told me one of her friends pointed out that red shoes might not match everything...




But I sure thought they were pretty darn cute:
